In the community
Mercy is the founder of sKOR! AFRICA - a community on a mission to help athletes of African descent succeed within and beyond sports by connecting members to resources, guiding them through their athletic journey, and celebrating their wins no matter what season they are in.
She has served two terms as Treasurer in the Executive Board of the African Christian Fellowship (ACF), Houston Chapter. She serves in the music, marriage, and women's ministries of Amazing Grace Church. She is the Executive Director of Echoes of Mercy, an outreach ministry that supports women through faith-based events, mentorship, and professional and personal development.
Her commitment to community building efforts and support of environmental initiatives has led to a partnership with the leading solar and battery provider in the U.S., wherein she educates communities on green energy solutions in efforts to assist in providing backup power systems to homes affected by adverse weather and frequent power outages.
