In the community

Mercy is the founder of sKOR! AFRICA - a community on a mission to help athletes of African descent succeed within and beyond sports by connecting members to resources, guiding them through their athletic journey, and celebrating their wins no matter what season they are in.

She serves in Amazing Grace within ministries centered on music, marriage, and women empowerment. She is the visionary leader behind @echoesthecommunity, an outreach ministry of Amazing Grace that supports women through faith-based events, community, mentorship, and professional development.  

She has served two terms as Treasurer in the Executive Board of the African Christian Fellowship (ACF), Houston Chapter - a national organization created to reconnect with the continent of Africa, build bridges, strengthen the family unit, and pass on the legacy.

​Her heart for community relations and public health has led to a partnership with the leading solar and battery provider in the U.S., wherein she educates communities on green energy to assist in providing backup power systems to homes affected by adverse weather and frequent, power outages.
